Calling all high school students!
Treasure Coast Food Bank is excited to announce our very first Culinary Boot Camp for Teens!
If your dream is to work in a professional kitchen—or if you just love the idea of developing cooking techniques—the time has arrived!
Green Apron Culinary Boot Camp for Teens will be taught by Healthy Harvest Catering’s Executive Chef Daniel Leavy. Chef Leavy has ten years of experience teaching high school students and is excited to share his skills with you. Take advantage of this great opportunity to become confident in the kitchen, make new friends and of course, learn important cooking skills.
Each day will have a different focus; and each day will end with students and Chef cooking a light meal together. Plus, students have the option of taking the SafeStaff exam and earn the SafeStaff credential – the entry-level Foodhandler certificate that is sought by all employers for working in a kitchen. A great way to stand out from others when seeking that first job in a professional kitchen!
